I bought a Berlitz pocked handbook titled, Chinese for Travelers. You’ll find a section called “Eating Out” where different types of dishes are shown in English and Chinese. You merely point to a dish in English and the waiter will read his language and know exactly what you want. Also your tour guide, who generally speaks very good English, will assist you in ordering.
